Module 1

The goal of this activity was to familiarize myself with the3D modeling software 'Cinema 4D'. Prior to taking this class, I had not experience and since modeling is fundamental to the class, I spent time learning the software in order to produce the best results that I can in the time alloted.

Activity 1

The fact that the shape of the case differs whether the opbject itself was open or closed made me wonder how to model it in Cinema 4D. To recreate the opening flass of the container, I used several cubes, or prisms for each fllap. Closed, the case is simply a prism, opened, it takes a completely different form. View of
the finished model I only used cubes to form this model. I made them Longer or thinner depending On their role in the model I wanted to use a tool that would create a cresent moon, akin to the masking tools found in illustration programs such as procreate and clip Studio. The base of this object is a cylinder that's been flattened. View one of the finished model View two of
the finished model. I'm proud of how accurate it is visually, minus the speckled textures of the resin in the pendant, this model in particular didn't require many objects to create. I was mostly looking for something In my room that appeared easy to model so I could get used to the layout. This is one of the first objects I modeled. View one of the finished model View two of
the finished model. I think that if I could have textures or a way to make this transparent, the model itself would improve visually. More experimentation with the tool that erases part of the model based on the mask. The boole tool was a tool I used to shortcut My way into sculpting or creating my desired shape quickly. View of
the finished model. I used the bevel tool Of the app to round the edges and played around with the different features to get the rounded edges of the signature apple plug. I was very much interested in how to achieve the dual colors of the sphere when staring at this object. this sparked my motivation for this assignment a lot. This Is the first thing I modeled at the time since in my mind, this was the first model I made. View one of the finished model View two of
the finished model. The shape of the pokeball itself is mostly made with spheres, with the exception of the white button in the center being a cylinder. I would want to experiment with textures and lighting in order to replicate the reference image itself a little more accurately. I wanted to use the masking tool to create a hollowed cylinder without using a premade shape to create the hole in the center of the tape roll. View of the finished model View two of
the finished model. I didn't have much difficulty working on this model and it didn't require a lot of time to create. The only thing I wish I could include
are the textures of the pattern found on the tape itself
overview look of the size comparison of two objects
This is me checking the pokeball model in the software, I was rotating and moving the
camera as necessary to compare it to the model I had on hand. This is an image of me figuring out how to scuplt the unique shape of the model before coloring it in. I created the model by starting
at the bottom and working my way up to the cap of the perfume bottle. Admitably I was trying to not use the base shapes and was freehanding it. I would not reccomend this method if there are easier assets to use I was playing around with the app during the time in which I was creating the perfume bottle and wondered how
I could recreate the liquid contents. I played with the rendering aspect of cinema 4d but didn't go much further due to how taxing it was
on my computer to run. diffeent view of the plug model to check If the spacing of the materials were correct. lineup of finished Models at the time I thought that the shape of the bottle was simple and potentially interesting to recreate through modelling. I don't know how to use textures at this point but wanted to at least translate the shape of the bottle in my model in regards to the liquid seen in the bottle

Alternate sideview of my objects to check the dimension of them I was trying to replicate the clasp of the pendant. I used a cylinder being maswked by the boole tool until I decided to go against it and use a torus.

Activity 2

I was interested in modeling a model that included several elements, the flowers featured on this bunny cupcake intrigued me a lot and I was enticed by the idea of a challenge
View one of the finished model
                 View two of
the finished model model test of an object I was contemplating to use I was initially struggling to find objets to use in this activity when I saw this mini oven on my bookshelf. The foundation Of the item itself is a cube, but with additional elements to help create a unique silhouette. I utilized and experimented with the bevel tool, learning the hard way that putting the effect on a high setting would cause the program to freeze due to how heavy the rendering was on my computer

View one of the finished model View two of
the finished model It's not completed accurate to the Original model unfortunately, especially with the dripping icing thats on the top of the model. I couldn't figure out how to recreate it more accurately in the app. This is something I would definetly want to learn more about in the future if given the chance I thought that the shape of the bottle was funky and potentially interesting to recreate through modelling. I don't know how to use textures at this point but wanted to at least translate the shape of the bottle in my model
